1. Treat symptomatically. The specificity and good selectivity of biopesticides determine that their killing species and host range are relatively specific. Insecticides made of insect pathogenic microorganisms, such as Bacillus thuringiensis and insect viruses, can not only prevent and kill Lepidoptera pests, such as cotton bollworm, cabbage caterpillar, and heartworm. It can also prevent and kill such pests as weevil and American leaf miner. Therefore, the use of biological pesticides should be targeted according to the types of pests.

2. Proper prevention and control. The insecticidal mechanism of biological pesticides is different from that of chemical pesticides. Generally, it can only play its role through infection and parasitism, accumulation and reproduction, and effective stomach toxin. When applying, it is necessary to grasp the high egg hatching stage or the young larval stage to apply drugs. It can not only immerse the medicament into the eggs or attach it to the egg shell, but also ensure the death of pests after feeding.
3. Scientific application. Bioinsecticides are mostly "active", and the application environment and scientific use methods are the key to their good control effect. For example, when applying microbial insecticides against Bacillus thuringiensis, insect viruses and other pathogens, it is generally advisable to apply them in the evening or cloudy days in warm and wet weather, and it is strictly prohibited to use them simultaneously or in combination with alkaline pesticides. Insecticides of plant extracts should not be stored for a long time, but should be prepared and used immediately to avoid reducing the efficacy.
